Charley was rescued in 2019 at just 7 months old. He had been living outdoors with an elderly woman who didn’t realize how big he would grow, and by the time he came into rescue, he was in terrible shape. His coat was badly matted, as you can see in the “before” picture, and he desperately needed care.

With love, grooming, and patience, grooming, and patience, Charley transformed into the handsome gentleman you see today. He has the sweetest spirit and a heart full of kindness. Charley especially adores older folks he’s happiest visiting nursing homes, holding hands, and sharing his big happy smile.

Gentle, loyal, and loving, Charley is the perfect reminder of why every dog deserves a second chance.
